Our mission is to empower our community, enhance its well-being and
shape its future.

We are an Arab-American group committed to advancing our community
under the rule of the United States Constitution through integrity,
intellect, leadership, democracy, and cultural heritage.

Our vision is to build our group into an economic powerhouse that
can shape policies that affect the Arab-American community in the
United States of America.

Business Definition
4.1 Geographical Focus
In the next three to five years, we will establish a successful
operating model in the State of Michigan where a relatively high
proportion of our constituents are located, especially in the Southeastern
part of the state. The long-term strategy (i.e., five to ten years)
is to gradually expand our model and practices throughout the United
States.
4.2 Constituents
The constituents are the individuals or organizations that will
primarily benefit from the work of the League.
Arab-American Professionals – professionals
holding university degrees or individuals who do not hold a university
degree but
have substantial and relevant experience
in operating a business providing professional services.
Arab-American Students – students pursuing
a higher education degree.
Arab-American Businesses – established
businesses offering professional services
4.3 Stakeholders
The stakeholders are individuals or organizations that have a stake
in advancing the mission of the League and are defined as follows:
Members at Large and Members of the Board – members having
paid their dues and who are actively working to advance the mission
of the league.
Donors
/Funding Sources – defined as individuals or organizations
who have missions aligned with the mission of the League for
Economic Empowerment and who contribute
funds, goods, or services to advance the mission of the league.
Non-Government
Organizations or Government Agencies – entities that can be
approached by the League for funding assistance on
specific projects.
Constituents
– defined as the Arab American community individuals that
benefit from the services of the League and that may wish to
become member of the League or provide
donations (funds, goods, or services) to advance mission of the
league
Foundations
– defined as organizations that have missions aligned with
the mission of the League for Economic Empowerment and
who contribute funds, goods, or services
to advance the mission of the league.
4.4
Competitive Advantage
Defines the league's key differentiators that make the organization
more attractive and effective than the competition, as described
below:
Merit-Based Membership/Promotion/Service –
the only measurement for winning elections, promotion within the
league or acceptance of service proposal in a democratic
environment.
Relationships and Connections – solid
relations developed by the members of the league with key economic
and political figures that will allow the league to lobby and
achieve goals requiring political and economic backing.
Independence of the League – independence from the agenda
of any individual or organization that maintains a mission not
aligned with that of the league.
Focus and Goal Oriented – a culture of action and results,
driven by an accountability system, to consistently meet or exceed
expectations.
Institution - ability of the League to survive on the strength
of its own system that includes mission, culture, and processes.
4.5
Core Competencies
Defines the competencies as the key systems, targeted assets,
intellectual prowess, programs, or skills- that will allow the
league to continue to enhance our competitive advantage, as described
below:
Scientific Approach – the rigorous application
of scientific research principles in conducting studies undertaken
or commissioned by the league.
Fund Raising Capabilities – the economic power and driving
force to achieve the goals of the league based on fund-raising
capabilities stemming from aggressive
campaigning following a well-defined fund-raising strategy.
Process Orientation and Substance Driven – the elemental
and strategic approach of the members of the league encompassing
substance as a drive and a
well defined process in the execution of goals.
Committed and Able Membership – recruitment system that
attracts highly qualified, intellectual, and motivated members
with diverse skills and ideas.
Accountability – strict measure
by which each member of the league becomes accountable upon leading
or serving the league through
ownership, integrity, honesty, commitment and hard work.

Values and beliefs
Defines the handful of values and beliefs that
will govern the league’s behavior, support its competitive
advantage, and help establish a distinct organizational
culture as the members continue to build the organization, select
directors, recruit members, and support the Arab
American Community, as listed below:
